A. Direct Entry Qualifications 

For form VI applicants who have completed their A level studies before 2014 and from 2016 the minimum entry qualification is two Principal Level passes with a total of at least 4.0 points in Physics or Mathematics or Computer Science and any other of the following subjects such as  Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies. 

For Form VI applicants who have completed their A level studies in 2014 and 2015      their minimum entry qualifications are two Principal passes (Two Cs) with a total of 6.0 points in Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Biology or Chemistry.

B. Equivalent Qualification 

Appropriate Diploma with at least four O-level passes (Ds and above) or NVA Level III with less than four O-level passes or equivalent foreign qualifications as established by either NECTA or VETA; and  

i. Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Computer Engineering/Science or Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering respectively and Business Computing all with an average of B or GPA of 3.0 and possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a pass in Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry.

ii. Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Computer Engineering/Science or Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or Electrical and Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering, respectively, all with an average of B and possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a minimum pass in Physics, Mathematics, Geography or Biology or Chemistry 

iii. A candidate who misses the above qualifications will have to undergo the Foundation Course and attain a GPA of 3.0, and must have an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (ACSEE). 

iv. A candidate who misses the above qualifications will have to undergo the Foundation Course and attain a GPA of 3.0, and must have an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (ACSEE). The candidate must have a pass of at least one subject in Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies

C. For international applicants 

Applicants with international qualifications who have completed their higher secondary education or equivalent diplomas in related certificates must submit their certificates to TCU/NACTE for verification to comply with the admission requirements stated in this section 

A. Knowledge 

A graduate should be able to: 

i. Explain the core concepts of computer networking, including protocols, data transmission, and network architecture. 

ii. Explain concepts of network architecture, protocols, standards, and technologies used in modern communication systems. 

iii. Demonstrate an understanding of network security principles and practices, including encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. 

B. Skills 

A graduate should be able to: 

i. Design and implement secure and scalable network solutions, considering factors like bandwidth, latency, and redundancy. 

ii. Configure routers, switches, and firewalls to meet specific networking requirements.

C. Competence 

After completion of the program, learners will be able to: 

i. Exhibit proficiency in configuring and managing network devices, such as routers, switches, and access points. 

ii. Understand the role of operating systems in network management and administration 

iii. Exhibit proficiency in configuring and managing network devices, such as routers, switches, and access points. 

In this program, each course will account for 50% which will be assessed through a combination of online and offline. The continuous assessment will comprise tests, quizzes, portfolios, self-reflection questions, report writing, as well as individual assignments that could be conducted online and group assignments. The final University Examination will have 50% and will be conducted on the University campus.
